Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)

Monday, April 20th, 2009

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)
is a simple tapping process that can help clear your mind and body of blocks. Based partially upon acupressure, EFT says that beliefs and physical traumas can muck up the energy connections in the body. Simply tapping upon certain points in the body following a certain order clears the channel and brings it back into balance. What is wonderful about EFT is that negative emotions and trauma is released without reliving the events that caused them. EFT can be used for pain, headaches, PTSD, losing weight, and clearing negative beliefs. Best of all, you can do EFT yourself.

There are Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) resources that could be really helpful. I invite you to visit here to read more about the process which was invented by Gary Craig. There are some quite powerful videos on the site which will give you ideas about how it can be used.
I especially love the one called Blood and Fatigue where they show you a video of the blood cells before and after a few minutes of tapping. To see the blood more vitalized so it can absorb oxygen better was powerful.

A free manual download is given by Gary Craig. EFT Manual. He is committed to helping the world. You could learn to do this by reading this manual. Check out Gary’s You Tube Videos on EFT as well for his EFT Recipe.

For another diagram of the points click see How to do the EFT Tapping Most likely you’ll have to sign up for their newsletter in order to view the points. Here’s a site that will take you through a video of all the tapping sites – about 18 minutes . Click on any of the colored words on this site, and it will take you to a new site.

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) has been enormously powerful dealing with post traumatic stress disorder for vets, people touched by the Oklahoma Bombing, and the technique is very powerful. I have used it to clear negative beliefs about money, used it to help forgive someone I just couldn’t do on my own. It healed trauma I had for driving in snow. When I am stuck and can’t feel better, I try to find a word of phrase that I am upset about, and then do a tapping routine following the recipe. You can do a whole round of EFT in less than 4 minutes. I always feel better.

Pay attention to yourself as you do EFT. I rarely do more than 6 or 7 rounds on something at a setting. When you are working on something deep, thoughts or insights may emerge, which may take you to another round. When I yawn, I know my body is releasing. Honor that your body may only be able to handle 3-7 rounds. Let it rest then. It helps to have a practitioner work with you.

Shift Your State

Saturday, April 11th, 2009

Shift your State when you are sending conflicting vibrations into the Universe. Your state of being is what you are offering the world vibrationally. Your state of being is what you are attracting to you. If you have gotten stuck in an identification, then you attract circumstances that match the feelings and beliefs of that identification.

For example when I was traveling, I ran out of money one year, and went to stay with my sister. She had hoped I was going to rescue her, and got very angry that I wasn’t willing to buy into her farm. She became cruel and abusive. I had a broken leg and was out of money, and felt vulnerable. I slipped into an earlier identification of feeling like I was a victim. As I went back to work, the victim mentality stayed with me, and I attracted not one, but two bosses who were also abusive. I was in a victim state.

That’s the way Law of Attraction works. Like attracts like. I felt abused. I got more of the same. Actually my sister was an angel in disguise because she helped bring out an area (an identification) that needed to be cleaned up in me vibrationally. My victim identification never believes there will be enough, contrary to the fact that I have lived a good life in wonderful places.

The gap between Source Self in me and Victim self is a pretty wide chasm. The two vibrational points in me, or you, send very differing messages into the Universe which are in conflict with each other. It is hard to manifest dreams, when a victim part of self is sending out victim vibrational offerings. Yesterday we talked about Understanding Your State.

Bridging the Gap

Traditions have used prayer, meditation, and contemplation as a way to bring our state of being into peace and harmony inside. These traditions help us bridge between Soul and Self, between Self and Universe, between Self and God. It helps us shift states, move out of a stuck point inside, and become more fluid.

Telling a new story
, Imagining our success, 17 seconds, thinking accurately, focusing on what we want, not on the ‘what is’ are also ways to change states.

Recognize, Accept, Compassionately Choose, Center, Act.
These are the basic steps to change your state. Recognize where you are identified. Accept that this is where you are. Have compassion with yourself. You are where you are. This identification served you at one time. Have gratitude for what it gave you then. Take a step back. Take a breath. Now, remember that you are more than this identification. You have a center. You can choose to move to that center. You can choose to act from that center.

Often if you can understand what’s going on, you can step away from the confusion and the turmoil into a more centered place. Congratulations, you just raised your vibration. You just upleveled your identification. You just changed your state.

For a lovely easy example of holding a question see Meditation and Manifestation.

Understanding Your State

Thursday, April 09th, 2009

Your state usually is what drives your feelings and your thoughts. Your state is what you offer to the Universe vibrationally. Your state is what determines your success. Your state is what you are attracting to yourself.

Your state is often determined by habit, and where you hang out inside yourself. It is where you identify yourself.

Source Self
The great minds of our world tell us that we are Source extended into the physical as this personality. Napoleon Hill, Emmett Fox, Ernest Holmes, Emma Curtis Hopkins, Myrtle and Charles Fillmore, Wallace Wattles, Abraham Lincoln, Deepak Chopra, Abraham and Ralph Waldo Emerson are just some who give us this message. Psychosynthesis and Carl Jung call this our Self. Some call it our Soul.

So we have this aspect of ourselves that is Source Self. Many of us don’t recognize this aspect of self, or identify with this State of Self.

Personality Self

Within our personality are many differing aspects. As we grow up, we develop patterns to respond to the challenges we meet as we grow. These patterns are a state of being, and often are an identification all their own. How many of us developed a Pleaser self, or a Rebel self, or a child self, or an inner critic and judge? Maybe you developed a Victim, A Rescuer, or a Perpetrator self. Most people who live on the planet have experienced one aspect if not all aspects of the Victim, Rescuer, and Perpetrator triangle. Psychosynthesis calls these various identifications, Subpersonalities. Guided Imagery, Voice Dialogue and journaling are a few ways to gather insights into these patterns.

What’s tricky about these different states is that there is more than one, and they often are triggered by some circumstance. Each identification has its own way of seeing the world, its own thinking pattern, its own beliefs, and its own feelings. When I was a little girl, I was hurt by an adult who I trusted, and there’s a part of me that responded by growing lots of armor. In an imagery session, I saw this part as a Reptilian Warrior whose sole purpose was to protect the innocent girl. My Reptilian Warrior sees the world very differently than the mature adult me. Adult me, Reptilian Warrior, and Inner Critic all respond very differently to pain. These aspects of self are a far cry from Source self.

Where are you identified?
Know your self has so many meanings. Recognizing your state is important. Many of us are not aware of these aspects of self that take control of our personality and drive our bus! My Skeptic loves to drive my bus, and does not trust the Universe. It does not believe in a Source Self. If my Victim or my Skeptic are where I am hanging out, imagine what my vibrational offering is to the world! (Click here for more info)

Where we are identified is our current state. Most of us have a couple of identifications with which we are most comfortable. Most of us have some role, like being a parent, or our job role at work, where we spend our time. Then something may stimulate us to fall into an earlier aspect of self, like our boss may be unfair, or a friend forgets and tells one of our secrets, or money crunches occur. Then the younger more survival aspects of ourselves can have a field day.

The Gap

Abraham talks of the gap between our two points of vibration. The difference between how Source Self sees a situation and how our current personality self sees a situation is often a huge gap. If you are in an identification, such as victim that does not believe there will ever be enough, there is a wide chasm between that belief and what Source Self sees.

This conflict inside our own Being is usually what stops us from being successful and attracting the things we desire.

Tomorrow we will talk about ways to bridge this gap and shift states.

Thanks for stopping by.

Success Strategies & When You Forget

Wednesday, April 08th, 2009

Success Strategies are necessary to enhance success and for when you forget. As I pursue knowing more about the Law of Success and the Law of Abundance, I get diverted by an event or a series of happenings sometimes. When I get derailed from my path to success, I look to see what took me off. Often, something has occurred and I react in a way that has been a pattern in my life. There are many ways to coping when I get derailed. Sometimes I forget all that I know.

So I developed two sections to help.

    Strategies
    When You Forget

Sometimes, I forget so well, become so caught in fear, that success strategies are not helpful at the time. Recognize where you are. Accept yourself where you are. See where you are on the Emotional Scale (found in Forgetting and Remembering). If possible, reach for a thought that is slightly better. Doubt is a better thought than worry. Blame is a better thought than discouragement. You never want to stay there, but it is a way to measure that your thoughts have improved. Your vibration changes. You might want to familiarize yourself with the When You Forget Section. Review such topics as:

Strategies are techniques to use to build your success posture in life. What is success to you? To me, a successful life is when I am happy and fulfilled and I look forward to the day when I wake up. Your vibrational offering determines what you attract. Your state of being is crucial. When outside appearances and circumstances impact and you get pulled from feeling good, it is helpful to have different ways to get back on track. Here are some practices to change your state of being and draw to you the success you desire.

Click on the appropriate category on the right side of this page. Strategies or When You Forget. This post is at the beginning for each. You can then continue to scroll down to find many of these techniques, or you can click on any title to go directly to that process.

May your life be full of wellbeing and success.
