What Two Ingredients Put You Into Flow?

These last three months, I have not been in Flow. Before I tell you about the two special ingredients of Flow, which I am so glad I remembered I want to tell you my journey.

My consciousness has been getting more alert and I feel I can see more. Some truly spectacular things have been happening for me, and yet it has been a very jerky ride. One day things are great. The next day, or moment, things are upside down again.

Usually, when I am in the flow, my life feels magical. Reality seems to actually become pliable. This life these last three months? Not so much. Yet I have made huge strides in clarity, self-confidence, boundaries, speaking my truth, and the most wonderful thing is that I have dropped a huge amount of reactivity. I am more authentic, powerful, and straightforward. And with this empowerment a few darker areas of my consciousness came to light.

These High Octane Times
Here’s what I’m thinking. We are in times when things are shifting big time. If you can stay tuned in, tapped in, turned on to life, your awareness will expand and you see multiple dimensions of possibility.

But making this shift is a challenge. Whatever is not alive and awake comes up and grabs you and says “Wake up!” It is not fun getting those wake up calls. But the potential is phenomenal and the energy is here for us to transform exponentially. The energy will propel us forward powerfully. Of course when we hit a snag, it feels like running into a tree when we have been going 100 miles an hour.

For a while in this high octane energy field, I got lost in some depression, some nostalgia during the holidays, and having poor health for at two months.

So what did I do? I read, relaxed, tried to get well, and worked my emotional process. I got somewhat lost in the feelings, though I trusted the process and knew it would lead me forward.

Remembering at Last
This morning I was inspired to relisten to a seven minute video Vishen Lahkiani, CEO of a personal growth company called MindValley. He reminded me of those essential ingredients to the state of flow and four states of mind in his video Flow, The Paradox of Intention and Four States of Mind. I thought you might enjoy his perspective.

Four States of Mind
Vishen identifies these four states of those people who are business owners and follow the Law of Attraction. Vishen has developed this concept over a couple of years and says the Flow is the 4th step. Here is a description of each state, and the name I call them.

1. Misery or Survival

        You are completely unhappy right now –

2. Comfort of Current Reality.

        You are happy, content, but you have no vision. ‘Let’s all hang out in Bliss.’ –

3. Stress and Anxiety

        You have great dream and visions, but unhappy because they are not there yet –

4. Flow

        When you are happy now, you have a vision and are happy with the journey –

While I was working my process, I had gotten lost in the Stress and Anxiety State of Mind. And sometimes that’s just natural. I was looking at a core pattern that I want to transform. This pattern has deep roots, has operated for my lifetime, and had a very dark piece that came into being to protect an innocent child.

This journey into Stress and Anxiety was an intentional act of courage to look at a core wound I have so that I can transmute this pattern and restore my connection with “Who I really Am.” I just got bogged down in the survival vibrations along the way.

Two Ingredients to Flow
So what are the two ingredients to restore myself to Flow? According to Vishen I need to:

    Be happy now (before I reach my dream).
    Have the vision of where I am headed.

So happiness is part of the journey not the destination. This balancing of happiness right in this moment, while aspiring for something we want or are dreaming about is something Esther Hicks calls The Gap in the Law of Attraction work.

Vishen is saying “Get rid of Stress and Anxiety while you are on the journey.” And that my friends are what we are called to do right now in these times. It is not always easy, but it is incredibly fulfilling. See Journeying Through the Gap.

Ways to Stay Happy

Last month I worked on my Vision Board for 2015. So I am very clear about my vision this year. I just had forgotten to be happy along the way (even though it is on my Vision Board). I’m reminding myself about ways to go back to being happy. Counting my blessing always makes me feel better.

This journey of living and becoming more conscious is a constant growing and then rebalancing process and sometimes we forget along the way. It’s just natural. And now that I’ve finished this essay, I realize that I knew all this all the time – just as you do too. We’re just human beings doing the best we can. We are constantly Remembering and Forgetting.

Meditation, Manifestation and the Law of Success

Meditation and Manifestation was the emphasis in my morning inspirational reading. So I practiced a new meditation of sitting, eyes closed, breathing, back against the headboard. Think “So” as you breathe in and “Hum” as you breathe out.

Moving Meditation
I liked it. Because meditation is such a fertile state for me, my creativity began zooming quite soon. So I took some notes, going in and out of my meditative state. Hum. After 25 minutes I needed to move. I held the question, what can I do that will allow me to move, but not get out of the zone, and not interrupt my plans for the next couple of hours? I could move my car – which had been parked on the street overnight. As I went out at 9:15 a.m. into the crisp August morning, I exulted once again in where I live, and the universe’s response to bringing me to my home base. My meditation had left me in flow. As I looked around I noticed the landscaping. Since it was early enough in the day, and I had made an agreement to do some watering, I went, “OK. I can water.” So I gently got out the hose, and wondered how I could stay in a meditative state while I was moving around watering?

Soaking in Aliveness
I remembered how my father had planted tiny trees onto his lot in Kerrville Texas into kalechi soil. Every night, he took out his chair, because he could not stand for long, and he sat and held the hose for each tree to drink their fill. Hum. He would sit in the quiet of the evening and pray and meditate. When I would visit, I could stand with him while he watered and we would talk. It’s a lovely memory. A few years ago, I drove by my parents’ old house. There those trees were, now thirty feet high. My father contributed there. He is still alive in the roots and trunks of those trees. His meditations left tangible results. I felt full, alive, and connected as I held those memories. I felt full because I had been in a state of meditation, and I slowed down enough to really soak in being alive.

Gratitude for a Major Manifestation
As I watered, neighbors said hello. I felt more deeply connected into this community that I have just adopted. This community is another manifestation. I had placed “Community Connection” on my vision board in January. Now in August, I am in my haven and home base with a glorious roommate, and an extraordinary community who welcomes me.

So as I watered, I was filled with gratitude for all the wonderful gifts and manifestations that are pouring into my life. Hum. I have asked, and the universe has responded with a far more elegant solution than I had imagined possible. Last year’s vision board had beautiful pictures of a home with deck and porch nestled in lovely plantings of bushes and flowers. Here I was standing in a lovely manifestation of that vision.

The water fountain elements next door can be heard as I sit here and write. That beautiful essence so like spirit, just burbling and flowing in gentle sounds.

Out of Meditation comes Inspiration, Healthy Self Talk and Action
I’m in my home base, and I’m writing. I’m so happy. This blog post, many creative ideas for my future books, and a book that is almost complete are results from meditation. I am in the midst of this new manifestation. I have joined an online community of authors who are committed to publishing their Kindle books. Life is good. Things work out for me. I am in the flow, and the Universe is responding. I give thanks whenever I talk with others. The story I tell is how wonderful things are, and what a powerful manifestation this has been.

Bridging the Gap With Meditation
I’m bridging the gap of the next manifestation which I promised myself I would do when I was settled in my home base. I promised I would publish a whole series of books. And now I am in the gap between having asked, and the receiving of this next big piece. Much comes up in the gap – which is another whole blog at least. When we are in that gap, we don’t know how it is all going to happen. Who do you know is comfortable being in the unknown? Very few.

So what do I do with all the fears, discomfort and issues that come up in this gap? They have to be dealt with some way, because if they don’t, my manifestation will not happen. I will not be able to align with Source enough to allow the manifestation to be realized in physical reality.

Hum. One powerful way is to go into prayer and meditation. It is one way to slip out of the cultural and belief hypnosis that binds us to doing things the old way. We actually can leave the mind, its worries and concerns hitched to a post, and go where there is fluidity, and flow. Our vibration rises. Our body settles down and in. We have access to faith and knowing, prosperity and plenty. What a gift we receive from the practice of prayer and meditation.

And in flow, creativity flirts and beckons. Flow is such a luscious juicy place.

And here I am, in flow, writing my blog entry today. How absolutely delicious. Easy, effortless. What an incredible way to live life. “Be easy about it. Have fun with it” says Abraham.

How different it is to write from this place, to create from this place, especially while I am in the gap between finishing my first book, and getting it published. What would it be like to live the rest of this gap in the easy effortless place? What a concept!

Meditation Benefits
So for today, my dip into meditation delivered a whole new vibratory place, and a way to live through the next month or two. Hum and a delicious side benefit is that you get to read this blog I wrote unexpectedly. A miraculous little manifestation which I had not planned for today. It gives me a sign about the larger manifestation of the book. “It can happen. And I am happy and so joyful and filled with deep appreciation for this wonderful place where I live. And I have created another huge manifestation, and my body gets to know at a visceral level that manifestation has happened, and it will happen again. So of course I will find a way through this gap, and allow the Universe to sound through me, and my books will become a reality.”

Life as Prayer in the Gap
So now I can soothe my fears with this kind of deliciousness and self talk, and I feel full and excited. Hum. I am connected with certainty and knowing, because more detail has become known to me. I trust in my process. I am learning to trust in Source, in God, in the Universe, as the true Source of all. And the way I tune into that Source, is through prayer and meditation. Thank you Beloved Source for all you give. I thankfully and joyously receive. And So it is. And I Hum.

Meditate. Why? Meditate to use Laws of Success? Is it a fad to meditate? Meditation is a practice to allow you to use more of your brain and creativity. Meditation is a doorway to reconnect with your essential self. Today we want to talk directly to your left brain; your reasoning brain, the left brain that you were trained to use by education. If you understand the logic about how the right brain and the left brain functions, you can choose to make more space for the right side of the brain. When you can not use your right brain as well as your left brain, you are crippled. Faith, Trust, Knowing the Mystery, Expectation, Wonder, and Imagination are all attributes of the right side of the brain. You need all those capacities as well as your logic, in order to operate the Laws of Success. When you meditate you have access to both your left and right brain. That is why it is essential to meditate in order to use the laws of success

You were functioning mostly in your right hand brain between the ages of 7 and 14. This level can be measured in brain cycles per second called hertz. You brain waves vibrate from 7 to 14 hertz per second. This level is called alpha. Your right brain is where you can connect with your intuition. Your right brain is creative, imaginative. It allows you to see things holistically. The world you focus on is your subjective experience. We can be anywhere or anyplace and in any time in our imagination. Thoughts and images are the primary vehicle of this state. When you meditate, you slow your brain cycles down enough so you can access you right brain. When you meditate your brain slows down to the alpha level.

You probably switched over to using your left brain when you were around 14. When you function primarily from the left side of the brain, your brain waves move in a faster frequency (14 to 21 hertz per second). This level is called beta. You are focused on the outside world and preoccupied with what outside sources think. You are action oriented. We learn this as a result of going to school. That is where we become preoccupied with what we can see, touch, and hear. We learn to only trust the physical world that we know through our senses. We learned to look at parts, instead of the whole. A lot of us left behind the use of our right brain, because our environment was requesting that we use only our left brain. As adults, many of us have forged a rut and only operate on beta brain cycles. We are limited to knowing only through our five senses. We focus on time and the space we can see or know about. It’s a pretty barren universe from this left brain perspective. When we live in the beta level of everyday consciousness, we are not tuned into our other capacities such as intuition, imagination, expectation of good things, seeing the integral connectivity of life.

If you sit down to meditate and your mind has been in the beta rut for years, thoughts just circle frantically with a buzz. It is very difficult to turn off rampant thought which is obsessing about the outside world. That is why meditation is a practice. We have to learn how to slow our brain waves down. Meditation is the practice of slowing ourselves down, inside and out, so that we can access both sides of our brains, and the greater aspects of ourselves.

To meditate is to allow your brain to slow itself down, to the lower brain frequencies of the alpha state. If you have ever done a guided meditation, you know that you can go anywhere in that meditative state – a warm beach, a beautiful summer meadow, and your outside focuses shifts into a slower mode where you relax deeply and tune into the parts of you that are not accessible when the brain is running at the faster frequencies of beta. It is important to go forth and meditate, meditate, meditate, and meditate some more. As you meditate, you can tap into those other aspects of you so necessary to the Law of Success. Meditate to a new State of Being

Meditate to a new State of Being that will bring you peace, prosperity, joy, and a deep personal connection between you, You, and the Universe. Meditation is an act of allowing yourself to settle into the quiet and profoundness of the essence of You.

As we grow up, we create our personalities in response to what and how we experience life. We are truly unbelievable creators, for our personalities are quite strong and opinionated.
But there is more to us than personalities. There is a cosmic seed in each of us that germinated and then we sprouted personalities. But that timeless essence is always available in each of us as well. Most of us just never learned to quieten ourselves to tune into it.

What we need to do is bypass all the clutter of thoughts, past hurts, emotional bruises, and the different world views and beliefs held close. Meditation is one way to do that. Contemplation and prayer are other ways. Use of imagination is yet another approach.

This winter, I have sat in front of many wood stoves and watched the fire. Each time I do, I find myself slowly relaxing, looking at the fire with soft eyes, and gently finding my way back to the fullness of well-being. We’re not trying to do anything, we are slowly relaxing back to the well-being of Source. That cosmic seed that still exists in each of us is a part of Source.

If you have been having a difficult time connecting with this idea that You that came from Source, then try sitting in front of a fire. Give yourself permission to sit as long as you want, and to drift into a zone where you are relaxed, enjoying the fire, present to the here and now (not off in past memories or future things to do).

Watch with soft eyes and a soft mind. Let yourself be lulled into the quiet. Savor the sweetness of watching the flames. Hear the quiet. Let the peace fill your mind and body. You need do nothing. You need not try anything. You’re just allowing yourself to settle deep into the essence of you where you feel like you, but you are deeply relaxed. You feel full. You have soft wonder of the flames.

There is a lulling past all thoughts and activity down to the core of you. Here there are no worries and cares, there’s just the gentle warmth of the fire, the flickering of the flame, and the deep quietness where you know all is well.

It is from this place, this state of being that we can create quickly and profoundly. for we have created resonance between our personality and our Source or Seed Self. Doing 17 seconds from this place within will bring profound results. This is the secret to the Law of Attraction that so many people don’t know or understand.

That secret is to shift into a state of being where there is resonance inside of you with the essence or core of You. Then in that state of resonance visualize in great detail what you wish, and stand in the knowing that all is well. In this zone of profound quietness, you will know that you are in tune, tapped in, and that there is nothing that you cannot do or have.

All you had to do was watch the fire, allow yourself to soften and relax back to the state where you are resonant with yourself.

Shift Your State

Shift your State when you are sending conflicting vibrations into the Universe. Your state of being is what you are offering the world vibrationally. Your state of being is what you are attracting to you. If you have gotten stuck in an identification, then you attract circumstances that match the feelings and beliefs of that identification.

For example when I was traveling, I ran out of money one year, and went to stay with my sister. She had hoped I was going to rescue her, and got very angry that I wasn’t willing to buy into her farm. She became cruel and abusive. I had a broken leg and was out of money, and felt vulnerable. I slipped into an earlier identification of feeling like I was a victim. As I went back to work, the victim mentality stayed with me, and I attracted not one, but two bosses who were also abusive. I was in a victim state.

That’s the way Law of Attraction works. Like attracts like. I felt abused. I got more of the same. Actually my sister was an angel in disguise because she helped bring out an area (an identification) that needed to be cleaned up in me vibrationally. My victim identification never believes there will be enough, contrary to the fact that I have lived a good life in wonderful places.

The gap between Source Self in me and Victim self is a pretty wide chasm. The two vibrational points in me, or you, send very differing messages into the Universe which are in conflict with each other. It is hard to manifest dreams, when a victim part of self is sending out victim vibrational offerings. Yesterday we talked about Understanding Your State.

Bridging the Gap

Traditions have used prayer, meditation, and contemplation as a way to bring our state of being into peace and harmony inside. These traditions help us bridge between Soul and Self, between Self and Universe, between Self and God. It helps us shift states, move out of a stuck point inside, and become more fluid.

Telling a new story
, Imagining our success, 17 seconds, thinking accurately, focusing on what we want, not on the ‘what is’ are also ways to change states.

Recognize, Accept, Compassionately Choose, Center, Act.
These are the basic steps to change your state. Recognize where you are identified. Accept that this is where you are. Have compassion with yourself. You are where you are. This identification served you at one time. Have gratitude for what it gave you then. Take a step back. Take a breath. Now, remember that you are more than this identification. You have a center. You can choose to move to that center. You can choose to act from that center.

Often if you can understand what’s going on, you can step away from the confusion and the turmoil into a more centered place. Congratulations, you just raised your vibration. You just upleveled your identification. You just changed your state.

“Tap Your Wisdom”

Tap your wisdom and enhance your success, wealth, and well being. Successful people are very intuitive. They tap into inner wisdom. They are using the law of attraction.

In 1993, I wrote the following “letter” in a process I use to tap into my own wisdom. In a meditative state ,I write a problem (on the left of the page). On the right side of the page I write the words that come to me as I tap my wisdom. Fifteen years later, this wisdom is as timeless as it was when it was first written. It gives me chills to read. It is as if I heard this yesterday. This entry was written before I ever heard the term ‘law of attraction’.

To tap your wisdom, you need to listen to the still small voice inside. When you tap your own wisdom, you will also be aligning with the law of attraction. You will attract more well being, more joy, more success and more wealth.

In the future we will look more closely at the process of tapping your inner wisdom. When this was written in 1993, I was in the process of a divorce trying to navigate with some heart and integrity. When so heartsore and lonely, it was soothing and calming to read the words that came. The overwhelming feeling of being loved profoundly accompanied the words.

    Dear Soul:

    I just need to touch into you again and remember
    you are there. Please let me know what I need to
    know to do, what I need to do today.

    Thank you for your support, guidance and intuitive
    direction. It’s so helpful.

    Please give me guidance reference how not to be
    reactive to my children and their demands
    or emotions, or Tom’s.

        Beloved Child. You are always supported.

        You truly are the source
        of your own Wellbeing
        as you are rediscovering.


        No matter what the times
        or how chaotic the economy,
        your own ability to create
        will take care of your well being
        .

    It scares me.
    I’m on my own.

        No, you are just learning
        how to tap into Universal Flow.
        You can create well.
        You have been limited in the past
        by your own belief systems.

        This fall and during these last two years
        you have been experiencing the ripping away
        of those veils of consciousness that have
        cut you off from the flow.

        As you create your life now
        where there is more joy and more inner peace,
        you are rooting yourself more
        into the universal flow of life, substance and wellbeing.

        You can not help but create more
        of the same in your life – and
        sustain the flow of abundance through your life.

        Your joy in the flowers sends out beacons for more.
        Your capturing to paper
        the ideas that flow by
        creates room and more creativity.

        Your compassion draws to you more love.
        Your patience creates more space
        to enjoy your children, your house,
        your life, your presence in the now.

        All this creates flow, movement
        of a fulfilled sustenance vibration
        sounding through your being – and life
        wants to support you –
        wants to answer your response
        with a call for more.

    How do I hold onto this?

        Breathe into it.
        Breathe it in.
        Hold the purpose of
        letting it breathe you.
        Letting it be the fabric of your being.

        As you breathe through this flow –
        the limitations will be snapped off –
        brittle are they in the face of flow.

        So be not disturbed by the crackling as they go.

        We heard your call for a computer
        and sent you to one that fit your present needs.

        Do not fear the future.
        We are with you and delighted to serve with you.

        Your life will become more like this event.
        You will describe the want and need
        and it will follow the beacon to you.

        Your breakthrough with Tom came
        as a result of your becoming aware that
        you can be prosperous and
        it is not dependent upon him.

        He is on his own journey – on his own time.
        Your wellbeing does not depend on
        his timing or his consciousness.

        It depends on yours.

        As you relax into that
        you allow the Flow to provide.

        Be of good cheer, beloved being.
        You are doing your work.
        You are following your guidance.
        The rest will reveal itself.
        You are loved always.
        You are dear to our heart.
        You have accomplished much this life.

        And now you are finally being readied
        to do the work you wish.
        It will be OK.
        You will accomplish your goals.
        You are readied enough now to
        meet your own requirements.

I hope your own journey in success and prosperity is enhanced by contact with your wisdom. Here’s to tapping your own wisdom.
