Acceptance is a part of the law of success. Sometimes you just can’t rise to the occasion and be positive and feel success.
When you are not well, when you are tired, when you don’t have food to eat, or a place to stay, it is hard to feel successful, positive and upbeat. Find a way to accept “the what is” for this moment. You will put yourself back onto the path the law of success each time.
We humans have basic needs of being able breathe, have some shelter, have food for fuel for the body, water to hydrate all the organs, cells, bones, tissues. If any of those survival needs are threatened, it is very challenging to be upbeat and hold thoughts of success and optimism. We all accept that those are human needs. The law of success acknowledges these needs.
Acceptance without judgment is absolute key when you are in a place of survival. Be calm, breathe. Accept what the circumstances are. Allow your body to relax. The law of success gives you permission to not always be at your peak 24/7.
On our trip to the northwest, my daughter and I stayed with a friend whose husband smoked. My daughter had a severe allergic reaction. She felt as though her lungs just simply could not get enough air. When we left, we went to visit my sister who lives on a farm. Last night the huge yard was mowed, and my daughter woke up in terror because she could not breathe. There were grass pollens that amped up another allergic reaction. Fear gets in the way of the law of success.
Normally very positive and optimistic, she is not feeling well, very tired, not feeling success, and can’t get her emotional legs under her yet. It is imperative that she accept that she doesn’t feel well, and remember this will pass. When you study the law of success, you need to have strategies to cope with times like these.
We all have things that happen that impair our ability to be optimistic and think positive, which impacts our ability to be successful. Be gentle with self. Say things like “Of course I can’t be positive right now. I don’t feel well. Things will get better.” When you tell yourself you are getting better, when you are gentle, when you accept self where you are, you are practicing the law of success.
Treat yourself like you would a vulnerable child, or someone you really cherish. Accept where you are. Don’t rag on yourself. This time will pass. Give yourself some time and space to let the situation pass. Acceptance is part of the process of dealing with down times when you practice the law of success.
Sometimes late at night, when I am very tired, I begin to worry. I have learned to simply say to myself “I can’t do anything about this situation right now. I know that my thinking is impaired when I am tired. I am going to do something to take my mind off this now. I’ll revisit this topic tomorrow.” Primary to using the law of success, is knowing one’s limits. When one’s basic needs are compromised, when can’t be on the top of our game. That’s OK. It is what is. The universe knows and accepts this. You need to as well.
I accept that I am tired, and divert my attention to something else – usually by reading. I have practiced this enough so that I can do it even when I am really nervous. Acceptance is key to taking care of self when you are physically or emotionally down. The law of success does not say you will be hyper charged, feeling good every day. It says, “Accept where you are today, replenish, and tomorrow things will be different.”
Things are always clearer when you have rested, eaten, or drunk needed fluids. You are flowing with the law of success when you accept your basic needs with kindness.
